Boys will be Joys

So, here’s the thing… I considered ending my blog because my boys are all grown and I could not imagine what I would have to write about.

Then I realized that my boys are still joys and I am still a mom. This is just a different stage of motherhood.

There are other moms of adults who might relate to what I’m writing, or they might not.

I have realized that in the end, I write this blog for my own enjoyment.

I need a creative outlet. I enjoy the interaction that is sometimes inspired by what I write. Most of all, though, I write to free up space in my mind that is taken up by these thoughts.

As we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first grandchild, I can’t predict what this blog will turn into.

• Maybe it will be a blog about this mom boy becoming a girl granny.
• Maybe I will chronicle all of the bizarre things I try in an attempt to distract myself.
• Maybe it will become a cooking blog.
• Or, maybe it will sit on WordPress ignored by the masses, which is completely fine.

Hopefully, someday, one of my great grandchildren will find my blog through whatever search engine tool that has been developed. They will get to know this version of me, and they will tell their grandpa what a sassy and fun mom they had!
