Boys will be Joys

So, I guess I have a blog. I’ve thought about it quite a few times, but each time the thought crossed my mind, I felt like I just didn’t have anything interesting to talk about. Don’t get me wrong, I have plenty of interesting things happen in my life. I’m just not sure they are worthy of writing about or sharing with the world. My interesting things usually include trips to the ER, forgetting it’s picture day, or getting all of my son’s college courses cancelled because I didn’t pay registration. These are things that consume my entire day, but you don’t necessarily want to hear about it.

I do post about my adventures on Facebook quite often. My posts, though, are usually longer than a normal post should be. By the time someone finishes reading they are probably too tired to remember what it was about to begin with. So, this is why I chose to blog. You already know that you’re going to read more than just a cute caption.

So, for those of you who don’t know me, I’ll tell you about myself. My name is Laura. I am married to Derek. We have been married for 20 years and we have 3 crazy boys. My “big guy” is 18. My “beast” is 15. My “monster” is 12. They are sweet, loving, crazy, loud, lazy, big-hearted, smart, and full of energy. They are boys. Their antics keep me laughing all day long. The humor is not always funny enough or appropriate to share with the rest of the world. I do, though, find myself learning so much from the 4 men in my house. The lessons, the humor, the humanity, and the love, are the things I hope to pass along as I begin this blog. So, if you don’t have anything else to do, join me here every now and then…
